Import Contacts

If you need to import a single contact or a group of contacts from a different CRM or marketing campaign, you can upload your spreadsheet by selecting this button. Your spreadsheet will need to have column headers that match the fields in this CRM such as First Name, Last Name, Phone, and Email when importing contacts.

If importing a newly skipped list, we recommend that you seperate your list into 2 seperate lists. A list of Landline Numbers only (this will be a list of contacts that don't have a wireless number) and a list of Wireless Numbers (contacts can have wireless and landline numbers on this list)

Once you upload your list, the next step will to make sure the column headers from the CSV file andthe contact fields match up. If they don't, you will want to add those missing custom fields

Once the fields are matched, check the box "Don't import data in unmatched columns"

The default import name will be the date and time the file is being uploaded. Here you can change the name to the List and Date or whatever you prefer to name the import

Click Advanced to open more options

Next "Add New and Update Exsiting Contact Records"

Find existing contacts based on "Phone"

Add Tags
Next add tags - Tags are used to filter your contacts, the more tags the better. Tag examples (wireless, landline, date, type of list (vacant, high equity, absentee, etc.) skipped company (propstream, clear skip, batch, etc.) where was the data bought, type of property (sfr, duplex, units, land, etc.)

Once all of the tags are added, click submit. There will be a pop up

View Progress

You can click on the "Click Here" to view your progress or you can also view your progress by going to Contacts and Bulk Actions

  • Here you can look at the stats, this will show you how many contacts were Created, Updated or Error (failed)

  • You can click on the 3 dats under actions and look at the error log. This will show you the Line number from your CSV file and the error code

There are a few reasons why they would fail, the biggest being that they are duplicates, the system default setting does not allow duplicates. These are contacts with the same phone number or email address

If you ever want to undone your recent import simply click "Revert" and it will remove all contacts that were part of that import
